Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need engineering experience to volunteer?
Not necessarily! We welcome students and professionals from diverse backgrounds. Technical roles require relevant skills, but we also need support in communications, logistics, and community engagement.
Is there a membership fee?
No. EwB Iraq is volunteer-driven and free to join. We may collect small contributions for field trip logistics, but financial barriers are never enforced.
Can I volunteer remotely?
Yes! Remote roles include research, design review, translation, social media, and data analysis. Field work requires local presence.
How long is the commitment?
Minimum 3 months for project continuity, but many volunteers stay for years. Student chapter members often participate during their academic term.
